The Thuan Hoa Publishing House has published a book on Hue's history and culture from the 16th to 19th centuries.

Nghien Cuu Hue (Research on Hue) is the seventh in a series of books aimed at showcasing the ancient city and its people to the world, the book's chief compiler, cultural researcher Nguyen Huu Chau Phan, said.

The first was published in 1999 and the final one in the series is expected to be released next year.
