FIFA Ranking on April, 2012: Vietnam is up
(Cinet) – According to FIFA Ranking on April, 2012, Vietnam continues to increase one point compared to the previous month to keep the 97th position.

According to FIFA’s March ratings, Vietnam continues to lead the Southeast Asian region with 347 points. Thailand dropped two places to 141 with 232 points, the Philippines ranked at 148 with 182 points and Indonesia placed 151 with 160 points.

Philippines are the best team in the Southeast Asia. With 8 points, they overcame Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and ranks the third position after Vietnam and Thailand.

On the meanwhile, Brunei and Timor Lest are at the final position. In a scale of Asia, there is no change compared to the previous month when Australia keep the first position and next, Japan and South Korea.

Spain remains the world No.1 with 1,442 points, followed by Germany with 1,435 points and Uruguay with 1,309 points.

Ranking in May, FIFA informs in May 09, 2012. It is period that Vietnam sports prepare for AFF Cup 2012 with many main events, including 04 matches at level A. Besides, Vietnam also attends the VFF Cup in 2012 in HCM City with a participation of 03 guesting teams.
