Four Vietnamese tennis players flew to Iran to take part in the Davis Cup 2012 tournament. They are Ly Hoang Nam, Ho Huynh Dan Mach, Nguyen Hoang Thien and Tran Hoang Anh Khoa.

Vietnam is in the Asia-Pacific region’s group III together with Bangladesh, Iran, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Oman and Syria. 

Two teams including Bangladesh and Kyrgyzstan at the seventh and eighth position fell down in the fourth one next year. Replacing teams are UAE and Cambodia.

On the contrary, two teams in a top 3 are Syrie and Kuwait in group 2; Hong Kong and Oceania is from a group 2 to group 3.
