(Cinet)- Quang Ninh People’s Committee has issued a decision No. 4071/QĐ-UBND dated 1st November 2007 on approving ethnic minorities’ cultural development and preservation project until 2000 and orientation plan up to 2020.
Binh Lieu commune will be selected as a key project location to build a model on preserving and promoting traditionally cultural values. The target until the 2015 year is to invest in constructing a Culture and Sports center for ethnic groups in Tien Yen commune, and build four cultural centers for nationalities, including Dao in Bang Ca commune (Hoanh Bo), San Diu in Binh Dan commune (Van Don), Tay in Luc Hon commune and San Chi in Huc Dong (Binh Lieu)
The project will focus mainly on preserving traditional trade villages, trades, costumes, voice, writings, songs and dances; folk games and festivals; national sports e.g. The project subjects are places which are in a high risk of losing traditionally cultural heritages; ethnic minorities with their poor schooling and particularly prioritized mountainous areas and borders. At the same time, mobilizing training works and fostering cultural ethnic minority cadres will contribute to improving their education.
