The International Parachute Association has chosen the famous sea city of Nha Trang to organise the International Boogie Festival in April 2008.
This will be the first time the festival has been celebrated in Vietnam. Boogie is a team parachute sport that requires athletes to perform in formations at a height of between 4,000 and 7,000m.
Events include the Boogie Fall in which parachutists free-fall and link together, and Boogie Fly in which athletes free form and perform acrobatics at the same time.
The athletes will visit Nha Trang in September for experimental flights to prepare for their official performance next April, with the participation of the Vietnamese Air Force.
