This studio is equipped with modern visual and audio systems. According to the Director, People’s Artist Khai Hung, VFC Director, it is risky to invest in this studio since capital is huge while nobody can foresee the future. The studio is around 40km from Hanoi so VFC is building rooms for actors near the studio.

Hung said that “Jolly Singles” is the first television film of the national Vietnam Television station produced in the form of socialisation. A private company invests in the studio and costumes and VTV produces the film.

“Jolly Singles” is based on a hot TV series of China, “New apartments in sunlight”. The film centres around the life of a group of young people who are living and working in an apartment block. The apartment block is a micro society, with funny and tragic stories.

This 500-episode series will be broadcast on VTV1 and VTV3 channels as of January 1, 2008, with two episodes each week. Each episode is around 50 minutes long.
