Accordingly, Traditional Craft Village Tourism and Culture Festival 2015 with the theme “Traditional quintessence – Integration and Spread” will take place from October 7 to 11 at Quan Ngua Sport Palace (30 Van Cao street, Ba Dinh district, Ha Noi).
The festival aims to honor the traditional cultural values and promote cooperative relations in tourism development between tourism businesses in Hanoi and the rest of the nation as well as to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the capital’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-2015).
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Truong Minh Tien, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said this festival will showcase about 300 booths displaying products and services from 14 provincies, cities nationwide.
The festival area will be divided into 9 zones including: main stage area, traditional craft villages, displaying area of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourim of provincies and cities, businesses zone, cuisine zone, tourism businesses, area to promote Hanoi’s culture and tourism, folk games zone, etc.
In the framework of festival, many activities will take place such as art performances, martial performances, traditional folklore game, introduce the cuisine of Hanoi and other provinces.
Mr. Truong Minh Tien, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports said the Festival is held annually to contribute to honoring, preserving and developing traditional handicraft villages in Hanoi in particular and in other provinces and cities nationwide in general.
He added, the festival will create a chance to introduce the traditional handicraft products of villages in and around Hanoi and seeks to promote the villages’ tourism potential.
